Autodesk dévoile Inventor Fusion Technologie, une solution innovante qui unifie la modélisation paramétrique et directe

Paris, le 29 juin 2009 — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) annonce que la première version d’Inventor Fusion est disponible en téléchargement gratuit sur Autodesk Labs.
Autodesk Inventor Fusion est une nouvelle technologie de Digital Prototyping qui unifie la puissance et le contrôle apportés par la modélisation paramétrique (reposant sur un historique), avec la facilité d’utilisation et la rapidité résultant d’une modélisation directe, sans historique. L’utilisateur a ainsi toute liberté pour choisir l’approche qui convient le mieux à chaque tâche. Cette preview est la première étape vers la disponibilité mondiale de l’ensemble des fonctions d’Inventor Fusion.
« Nos clients industriels signalent que la modélisation directe permet d’accélérer le développement des produits », déclare Robert “Buzz” Kross, vice-président senior de la division Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions. « Ils soulignent néanmoins qu’ils auront encore besoin de la puissance et du contrôle de la modélisation paramétrique basée sur un historique. Nous développons Inventor Fusion dans le cadre d’une initiative plus large visant à associer le meilleur de ces deux méthodes, afin d’améliorer encore plus le processus de conception. »
La solution Inventor Fusion est idéale lorsqu’il faut modifier rapidement une conception par des manipulations directes, mais que l’on a déjà un important capital de données et de concepts, couvrant plusieurs années de travail, qu’il faut pouvoir utiliser et maintenir.
La preview proposée en juin 2009 est une première étape vers l’association transparente de workflows bidirectionnels paramétriques et directs, qui laisse le choix de l’approche de modélisation convenant le mieux à chaque situation. Autodesk prévoit une deuxième version pour cet automne. Elle permettra d’utiliser la modélisation directe pour apporter des modifications rapides tout en les enregistrant dans l’historique paramétrique du modèle, afin de préserver les intentions de la conception. Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear."
